Last updated: October 2026

Plentifor is a trading name of MG Management Pty Ltd (ACN 132 619 393) as trustee for the Grant Family Trust (ABN 36 159 007 139) (Plentifor, we, us or our). We provide personal income and expense administration services.

Because we help manage people’s everyday finances, we take the privacy of your information seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use, disclose, store and protect it, and how you can access or correct it or make a complaint.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can find more information about the APPs from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

1. The personal information we collect

Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable. Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number and address.
  • Identity verification details, where we need to confirm who you are, for example before acting on an instruction or releasing information.
  • Financial information needed to provide our service, such as your income, bills, expenses, debts, savings goals, bank account details, transaction information and budget and spending information.
  • Household arrangements relevant to the structure we agree with you, such as how expenses are shared with a partner.
  • Communications and records, such as emails, meeting notes, requests and instructions.
  • Website information, such as the details you enter into our website forms and technical information collected through cookies (see section 13).

We don’t seek to collect sensitive information, such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, or religious or political beliefs. If you choose to share sensitive information with us, for example to explain a change in your circumstances, we will only use it for the purpose you provided it, with your consent, or where required or authorised by law.

2. How we collect personal information

Where reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you, for example during meetings and onboarding, by email or phone, and through our website forms. We may also collect it:

  • from your bank, financial institutions and billers, where you have authorised this as part of our service
  • from other people you authorise to deal with us on your behalf, such as a partner in a combined arrangement
  • automatically through our website, using cookies and similar technologies.

If we receive personal information we did not ask for, we will check whether we could have collected it under the APPs. If not, we will destroy or de-identify it where it is lawful and reasonable to do so.

3. Our website forms and newsletter

When you use the forms on our website, we collect only what we need for that purpose:

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message, used to respond to your enquiry.
  • Meeting request form: your name, email address, phone number, preferred times and any notes you add, used to arrange your introductory meeting.
  • Newsletter sign-up: your email address, used to send you occasional updates, practical money management ideas, helpful resources and news from Plentifor.

Website form submissions are sent to our business email account. If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored in HubSpot, the email marketing platform we use to send our newsletters.

We only send you newsletters or other marketing emails if you have subscribed or otherwise agreed to receive them. Every marketing email identifies Plentifor and includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time using that link or by contacting us, and we will action your request promptly. We will not sell or rent your email address to anyone.

4. Why we collect, use and disclose personal information

We collect, use and disclose personal information for the purposes of:

  • assessing whether our service is suitable for you
  • onboarding you and establishing your agreed financial structure
  • providing our service, including receiving income, allocating funds, paying agreed bills and expenses, processing your requests and preparing your activity reports
  • communicating with you, responding to enquiries and arranging meetings
  • administering our business, including billing, record-keeping and meeting our legal obligations
  • improving our website and services
  • sending you marketing communications, where you have agreed to receive them.

We will only use or disclose your personal information for another purpose if it is related to the purpose it was collected for and you would reasonably expect it, if you consent, or if it is required or authorised by law.

5. Who we may disclose personal information to

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • your bank, financial institutions and billers, to process the payments and transfers we have agreed with you
  • service providers who help us run our business, such as our software, cloud hosting and website providers, email, meeting and communication tools (including Microsoft Teams), our booking platform and our email marketing platform (HubSpot), IT support, and our accountants and professional advisers
  • other people you have authorised, such as a partner in a combined arrangement. Where partners are separate clients, each person’s information and reports remain confidential
  • government agencies, regulators, courts or law enforcement, where required or authorised by law.

We require our service providers to handle personal information securely and only for the services they provide to us. We do not sell personal information.

6. Overseas disclosure

Plentifor operates only in Australia, and we choose technology providers that store and process personal information in Australia wherever possible. We do not otherwise disclose personal information to overseas recipients. If any personal information is stored or processed outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a way that is consistent with the APPs.

7. How we use software and automated processes

Plentifor uses purpose-built software to calculate allocations, schedule payments and prepare reports, based on the structure agreed with you. This software uses your income, expense, bill and account information. Decisions about your structure, your requests and any changes to your arrangements are made or reviewed by our team. We do not use computer programs to make decisions that significantly affect you without human involvement, and we do not connect artificial intelligence (AI) tools to our budgeting software.

8. Dealing with us anonymously

You can make general enquiries without identifying yourself, or by using a pseudonym, where this is practicable. However, we cannot provide our service without knowing who you are.

9. Government identifiers

We do not use government-related identifiers, such as your tax file number, Medicare number or driver licence number, as our own way of identifying you. If we sight identification to verify who you are, we use it only for that purpose.

10. Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include using secure software and systems, limiting access to authorised team members who are trained in confidentiality, accepting instructions only from your authorised email address, and pausing unusual requests or changes to account details until we have confirmed them with you.

We keep client records for at least seven years after our service ends, to meet our legal and tax obligations. When we no longer need personal information, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it. Enquiries from people who do not become clients are kept only for as long as we need them.

11. Data breaches

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to the people whose information is involved, we will notify the affected individuals and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

12. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us in writing. We will need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information. We aim to respond within 30 days.

There is no charge to make a request. If providing a copy of your information involves significant work, we may charge a reasonable fee, and we will tell you before we proceed. If we refuse your request, we will explain why in writing and let you know how to make a complaint.

We take reasonable steps to keep your information accurate, complete and up to date. Please let us know as soon as possible if your details change.

13. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can manage non-essential cookies using the cookie banner on our website, and you can set your browser to refuse cookies, although some parts of the site may not work as intended.

14. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other websites, such as social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites.

15. Questions and complaints

If you have a question about this policy, or a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us using the details below and give us as much detail as you can. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website, with the date it was last updated.
